"we were very happy with our stay, the rooms are a little tired but it was clean and tidy. the staff were all very helpful. breakfast was busy but the staff were amazing at replenishing food and cleaning tables so it was a really good atmosphere "

"Spent Christmas night here and it served its purpose perfectly well at a very reasonable price for this time of year in London. Very comfortable beds and good temperature control ( pretty unusual in U.K.- rooms are often far too hot). Bathroom sink could do with an update but that’s a minor quibble. Didn’t use the bar or have breakfast so can’t comment except to say the whole ground floor was clean and welcoming."

"I like the area and the staff were very helpful. However the rooms felt a bit bare…no desk or chair, which made it hard to work and no drinking facilities (reception had a vending machine) but not a cup of any kind in the room. These things would be helpful."

"We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. Hotel is in a fantastic location and having onsite parking (for a fee) was helpful. Unfortunately the rooms were disappointing. The staff working on Christmas Day were amazing. We paid to add breakfast - it was good but since there are so many other options around I am not sure it was worth the extra cost."

"Had a lovely 3night stay. Second time coming here. Staff very helpful, security is great as you need key card to enter building aswell as the lift/stairs to rooms. Rooms are very clean, lovely design, bathroom is nice too , definitely inspo worthy and also comes with toilet brush cleaner which is very handy. Next to bromley shopping centre, great transportation close. No complaints. Still yet to try the restaurant attached to hotel seems to be relatively busy and good vibe. Will be visiting again soon."

Excellent hostel for cheap freindly accommodation

"Freindly hostel n frills but great value for money, was not aware from listing that towels not included but available to hire at additional cost, also needed a padlock fir my locker which i purchased at reception this provided me with plenty of storage in my dormatory. Bar was to noisy for me but would be great for younger people there were good alcohol offers for residents! Hostal was located next door to Greenwich DLR station in safe area there were small Sainsburys snd Aldi within a couple of mins walk from hostel. Would happily stay their again. "

"The hotel is in a great location with walkable access to Blackheath Village and railway station. Buses stop right outside. Staff are very personable. Hotel is clean. Breakfast room is beautiful with traditional options. I had a front facing room overlooking Blackheath common, the church and the street. The only downside was the noise from the street. Windows are not insulated. It is London and there is always something going on. One of the nights they were holding a Christmas party. We were still able to use the bar, no food available so we went out to Ivy Cafe. A little Fawlty Towers with the volume of people and staff being overrun but very British and we found the humor in this. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a true British experience. Montpelier Cafe, Ivy Cafe, Gail’s Bakery all wonderful. Must visit the church. "
