"A lovely little out of the way hotel with plenty of parking. Staff are super friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Food was delicious, all locally sourced and even the locals were friendly. Recommend and would stay again. Would have been a 5* review but I couldn't get on the room wifi with any of my devices due to the Stampede client they used, but the staff even tried to help with this. Had to use the slower bar wifi instead."

"The room was surprisingly large and clean. It was a bank holiday so the pub was extremely busy and very loud. Once the pub closes it was quiet"

"Great, short stay at The Quay. Room was cosy and had all we needed, plus a sea view. It was clean, quiet and we had a great night sleep. Owners/staff were very polite on arrival, breakfast (which was delicious) and departure. Good location within a very short walk from the high street, bars etc but far enough away to be quiet. Would stay again. Thanks!"

"The Rockford is a real gem. So welcoming, quaint and in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble, the room we had was really comfortable and clean. Breakfast, which was included in the price of our room was just delicious. We want to visit again! Thank you for a lovely stay!!"

"Just returned home from a lovely stay at The Sandrock in Lynton. The Sandrock is a little out of the way of the main high street but still only a 5 minute walk to the shops etc. We stayed in room 4 which was clean and well appointed, the en suite was spacious (huge infact!)and the towels really fluffy, it was also super clean and tidy. The room had lots of little extras to make it cosy and homely. The bed was really, REALLY comfy, so much so that even my partner who usually struggles when we are...

"Very clean in every area of the building including the pub! Staff are friendly, helping you with anything you need. Felt very welcome for the time we were there. Dog friendly and everyone in there loved having ours in there. "

"This is a modest, small place. Not really a hotel at all - more a case of Pub with Rooms. We were shocked when we asked, "What time do you serve breakfasts?" A reasonable question? "We don't do breakfast!" was the reply. The (friendly) manager waved her hand vaguely out of the window and told us of a cafe, supposedly a short walk away. We managed to get milk and next morning, made a cuppa and set of to find the breakfast cafe. After a fifteen minute hike we found ourselves well into Penarth...

"When we arrived we were told by the landlady that the place was not a hotel as it was currently undergoing refurbishment. However the landlady and her mother were the most helpful, accommodating and kind people I have met in a long time. They gave us all food and drink, made telephone calls and even drove us to our rearranged hotel. They couldn’t have done more. When the hotel reopens it will be the best place to stay because of the kindness and welcoming of those who own and manage it."

"Room was a bit cold, even though the radaitors were on, Signs that there may have been damp before. Bed was super comfy and I slept really well. The pub was interesting and the food very good and great value."
