"The hotel staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome from the time we arrived to our departure. We would like to say a particularly big thank you to James who took care of us and our needs throughout our stay. Our room (202) was very clean,cosy,comfortable and atmospheric as were the various rooms downstairs where we enjoyed a delicious evening meal and breakfast . The staircase and old beams with paintings of the Tudor Monarchs were magnificent. A real step back in time. We would definitely love to pay a return visit. "

"What a lovely hotel, with an incredible view of The Priory church, adjacent to the hotel. and the museum, which was the priory gatehouse. We upgraded to a king-size room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size. Free water and teas/coffee. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining areas/bar were ambient with plenty of comfortable seating. Great food and a variety of breakfast to choose from. Loved the restaurant for breakfast too. It was so convenient to be based in the town with an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. Convenient for those wanting to walk the hills. We will definitely stay again. "
