"Booked a 2 night stay for a romantic getaway & to explore the surrounding area. On arrival at 2.30 our room was ready which was a nice surprise. We unpacked & went to the spa, it’s very small, only 2 loungers & 6 chairs bu the pool & they were all taken. The jacuzzi was full too so we had a swim, the pool wasn’t very warm & then eventually a few people vacated the jacuzzi so we hoped in, but unfortunately it wasn’t working properly the bubbles when they started were very underwhelming! "Found the place quite easy, free parking which was a great start. Check in was fast and straightforward. My room was lovely and clean, had everything i needed. All the staff that i encountered were helpful and friendly. Spent a couple of hours in the heated indoor pool and hot tub, what an amazing addition. The changing room was quite small and hard to get dried but i just quickly chucked some clothes on and got dried properly back at my room. I didnt eat on site but restaurant area looked...

"Staff in the hotel, were very friendly, service was very good, but the staff in the spa, let them down. Mix up over treatment dates on their part meant I missed out on a treatment, no apology was offered and the girl who dealt with me was off hand and very unhelpful. She didn't even try to sort it out, I ended up having to have a refund which really spoilt my whole spa break. Don't think I'll be returning anytime soon "

"Very enjoyable stay after a day’s cycling. Ate in the bar at night - food was fine but not outstanding - service excellent. Breakfast on the other hand was very good indeed. Hotel has a strange layout in that there are no lifts - to get to our room you had to go up approx 15 steps, walk along a corridor, then descend another staircase - very strange and not too welcoming after 4 hours on a bicycle !! "
