"The Royal Sonesta was very clean, well kept and had friendly staff, especially at the front desk. The pool area is nice and there is lounge and umbrella service on the beach, which we enjoyed more than the pool area. The dining options are good, even delivery to the beach. The outdoor bar by the lobby is very enjoyable with the fire pit. The El San Juan Hotel is right next door and there are many options there for eating and dancing otherwise we did not walk anywhere else except a few blocks to the drugstore (great place to get own supply of beer and alcohol). The big surprise for us was how very expensive Ubers were. Our ride from the airport on a Monday at 11am was $40 because of a $24 surcharge for busy time. A ride to Old San Juan, one way, over $25. Apparently taxis aren’t much cheaper. "

"La Concha had everything we needed- beach right in front with chairs and umbrellas, bars and bathrooms. You also had the restaurant for food. The pools were all very nice and staff was amazing. The bars were all very nice and the daily mixology class was fun. The location made it great to walk to restaurants and bars all around us. The casino was also fun. I would definitely recommend this property "
