"The place has amazing views over the river. The room as clean and tidy. Breakfast had a small pre-order selection, but it was tasty and felt like local produce. The only downside was that the room felt cold and damp without any heating avaliable, but they do provide an extra thick blanket over the bed. "

"Fab stay. Helpful from start to finish. We had breakfast. Delightful simple breakfast which was super cheat. Laundry completed and transfers organised. "DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE GOOD REVIEWS: The Son River House is without question the worst place I’ve stayed. There is no staff on site besides a confused old Vietnamese man that sits in the courtyard sometimes. I tried to check in 3 times and nobody was there. Ended up waiting 2 hours to check in. In my “suite” was 3 beds, 2 of which had dirty sheets and pillows. The bathroom didn’t work. Shower head only had a few “holes” that sprayed water. Toilet was broke and had previous waste in it. I...

"Our host Wah couldn't have been more hospitable and friendly. The room was airconditioned on arrival, the bed was very comfortable and room clean and spacious. We had bicycles to use to meander into the main city via a quite back road. Wah helped us with booking tix for the car and our bus journey to our next location. Definately loved loved this stay."

"We had the most wonderful stay here. It was one of our favourite parts of Vietnam. It was peaceful and relaxing in the countryside and on the lake. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere with warm, welcoming staff and animals! The rooms were beautiful and the restaurant had lots of choice. The daily free yoga was a huge highlight and we were able to rent bikes to get to nearby attractions. We will recommend this hotel to everyone and we hope to stay again soon. "
