"We arrived in a snow storm on a Sunday when the hotel restaurant was not supposed to be open. Because they knew the storm was expected, 5 employees came in on their day off to cook a limited menu. The staff were exceptional. The food was excellent. We couldn’t thank them enough for all they were doing for tired travellers stuck in a snowstorm. We highly recommend the Skyline Lodge and would love to stay again under better circumstances. "

"Check in was easy. Gentleman at front was very polite. Offered us water and gave us 2 bottles in a cute little bag. Room was great! Mattresses could atand to be replaced but still wasnt bad. The heat worked amazingly and was rather quiet. Breakfast was over the top wow! Scrambled wggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereals, oatmeal, waffles, fresh fruits, bacon, several juice choices and white and chocolate milk. I had $31 in credit feom previous bookings making this reasonably priced for my stay. We thoight we were going to get snowed in and I already was hoping to return to this hotel if we had to stay in the area another night. "

"We were totally impressed with the Turnpike Motel! It is an old school motel like from my childhood that has been completely refurbished to a high standard. Our room was clean and spacious and modern with new flooring and bathroom. There are countless dining options nearby. For a one night stopover, it was just what we needed. We are fans of the old motels and have never seen one renovated like this. Highly recommend!"

"The staff was very nice and welcoming. Have hot coffee and tea available after a long drive was appreciated. The room was comfortable. We likes that we were able to walk to a resrirant for dinner."

"This inn is a beautiful old home with 6 units. The decor was beautiful from the antique lights and decor to the Christmas decorations. It was very cold but we were cozy with the electric fireplace in our room. The bed was very comfortable. There is not dinner service as Expedia listed and Kit the owner said they have been trying to get this removed but unsuccessful. They have a self serve on your honor beverage system. We ordered a pizza for dinner and had it delivered since parking was a bit tight by our room with my husband's truck. The breakfast was delicious-strawberry topped yogurt, a baked egg and ham souffle, bacon, and a biscuit with juice and coffee. Kit and Gary were very personable and lovely hosts. We would definitely return here if we ever visit the area again. "
