"Marriot Mena House was great. Although it’s one of the oldest hotels in Cairo it did not feel old or outdated. The property was immaculate and service was amazing. I stayed in a Premium Pyramid View room. I cannot think of a better way to spend a few nights in Cairo."

"Popular location with a lot of food 5 minute walking distance and other hotels. Staff were friendly and spoke english plus the bar uptop was nice. The only downside is that if your room is on the 3rd floor, under the bar. It will be difficult to sleep as you're hear a lot of chairs/table moving constantly but that's why i travel with earbuds to block the noise."

"The location of the property was great. Directly across the road from the giza plateau entrance which also allows for a good rooftop view. The staff is what made the experience at this property good. Kamal and Gamal were always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed such as transport, tickets, tours, etc.. without any worries. "Rooms were spacious and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. It was lovely to have a balcony! There were lots of amenities available. Staff was friendly. Check out was slowed down considerably though as they were late in bringing our luggage. Our uber had to park and wait as staff went to find our bags. The cost of the room was very high ( over 200 usd per night) making a stay of more than 2 nights impossible."

"Had a lovely room and beautiful view, you can tell the hotel is dated but my room was clean and comfortable. They are clearly understaffed, lots of waiting time for reception. Breakfast is great and the omelette chef was wonderful. His smile made my day and he made the best omelettes. The rooftop bar was great and the pool area very good. What was a real downer when I left was I got an email calling me Dear Mr/Ms and that was really rude and hurtful. "

"this was a great option for our family of four. location really central, with easy metro, walking and driving options to everywhere. the room was spacious with good beds. only downside was the fact the shower leaked a bit (but that’s a minor thing). we liked the breakfasts - different each day, and no shortage of food. and the staff were incredibly friendly…no hesitation to help when asked. highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, quality downtown cairo hotel. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at Eileen hotel. The staff were friendly, kind, and always had a smile on their face. I was really surprised about the rooms, walking into the building which looks dated on the outside, the rooms itself is more modern and really clean and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed at this boutique hotel twice, at the beginning of our trip and then came back again towards the middle of our trip. The breakfast is a buffet style spread, and the omelettes they cooked for us were delicious. The showers and toilets worked perfectly, and we were able to take hot showers consecutively, which i can't say was the case for other hotels in Egypt. After a long day of exploration, we were really glad to be able to relax in our comfy room. "
