"We had an amazing time. The food amazing in a gorgeous pub. The atmosphere and hospitality was fantastic everyone made us feel welcome very friendly especially the lovely Keith, what a legend! We paid £132 a night (Tuesday( for our room, there was a few minor problems, especially the volume of the music that we could hear while in our room played in the bar & we did also wonder if it was actually a Superior room,...

"Stayed for 2 nights with my 84 year old mum for a girlie few days away. Our room was at the back courtyard of the inn (I think that’s where they all are). So easy access for mum. Parking close to the room. Room was spacious with modern decor and en-suite bathroom. Hosts were chatty without being intrusive. Breakfast both days and the evening meal we had were delicious and more than ample servings. It’s a quirky inn with loads of character. The bar area is in keeping with the age of the inn....

"The staff at the Boot and Shoe were lovely - they were friendly and helpful during our stay. The cooked breakfast was excellent. We had booked a table for dinner but unfortunately the table we’d been allocated wasn’t great so we dined elsewhere. The staff were really apologetic and gave us a complimentary round of drinks to make up for this. The room itself was fine. The bed was ok and the room was clean. "The rooms are located on the floor above the public bar and eating areas. You can book an evening meal if required. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with no disturbance. Nice breakfast served by friendly staff."

"Very friendly staff in popular and welcoming village local. We only stayed one night and didn't eat here though the menu looked great. Obviously popular with locals and tourists alike for a small village it was busy on the Saturday night we stayed. Room was clean and comfortable though dated. The bed was a bit older than some but perfectly pleasant. The surrounding area is stunning with plenty to do within a short drive and lots of walking on your doorstep. Overall a most enjoyable stay. "Horrendous journey to the Fox and Pheasant. Worried we would miss the dinner cut off time we called through. Been traveling for over 10 hours! No problem arrive very tied to a lovely bowl of soup. Feel in to bed and had an amazing sleep. Set off next morning after a fantastic breakfast and a lovely packed lunch. Defo stop off again"
