"Over all the Twice Brewed Pub/Inn was a lovely place. The staff were warm and friendly and the food and beers were great. I be only had two concerns. The first was all rooms were on the second floor only accessible by a steep stair case. The second concern was in our bathroom shower. The faucet was in very poor repair. The first night it was very difficult to get either the water flow side and the heat side was extremely hard to turn for proper adjustment. The second night I was unable to get...

"Nice, big family room, the only drawback is the constant banging of what must be the toilet doors below the room. Maybe some sort of padding on the door frame would be a help. Also, the bathroom windows could be better cleaned. That all said, we would stay there again. "

"Staff was very friendly & helpful plenty of choice to eat in the restaurant, down sides there was a work station in the room but no chair to sit on to work, TV was very hit and miss it is free view and most of the channels didn’t work toilet roll was just placed on the top of the holder which is very lazy by housekeeping. Bed had sharp wooden corners on it which I caught my shin on 3 or 4 times I’m sure it would be easy enough to make the corners round instead of sharp "

"Old established pub on the outskirts of Barnard Castle, within a 15 min walk of it's shopping area. Decorated to a good standard, room was bigger than average, with all the usual facilities in working order. However the bed was very soft & its mattress in need of replacement. Food the usual pub menu & of a reasonable standard. A good cooked breakfast was within the room tariff, making it a good value stay."

"Our room was beautiful. It had a king size bed and the en-suite bathroom was a good size. The only downside was that the toilet flush handle was broken but still worked. It could have done with better lighting in the bathroom as you couldn’t see in the mirror very well. The room was immaculately clean and had a sofa and tv with easy to connect to WiFi. Personally I struggled with comfort of the bed as I found it too soft but it was dressed with clean sheets and had extra pillows in the wardrobe....

"Lovely country pub in good location for local tourist sites with friendly and attentive staff. Stayed for one night whilst visiting Beamish Living Museum, nice room, friendly bar downstairs and full cooked breakfast available in the morning. Will be happy to return and would recommend to others."
