"Arrived slightly early, but could check in and staff we lovely. Said to put 2 nights on the car park and would only pay for 1, so we could enjoy stratford a little more in the morning. Breakfast was amazing, staff lovely. Mick greeted usas was so attentive. Pool ,steam room and jacuzzi all used twice. Staff we great in the leisure complex."

"From the first minute we walked through the door you could tell the hotel was a very special place, steeped in history and charm a truly beautiful place and staff were excellent, we only stayed one night but will be back again hopefully when the weather gets warmer I could imagine it’s even better when the weather improves in summer, breakfast was fantastic and you could see quality produce has been used , slight niggle, we wasn’t offered the option is poached eggs it was only when I saw others at another table, also the bathroom has a bit of dust over light fittings a mirrors"

"Communications before our stay were excellent. A very warm welcome awaited us us in a cold wet day. Check in was an easy process and everything was explained thoroughly. A really interesting hotel in a very historic building. Room was spacious and clean with an enormous bed. Good facilities in the room with a well stocked mini bar. Flowers ordered for arrival were fresh and vibrant in colour. Complementary cheese and wine were served in the covered courtyard. Very generous servings and a warm welcome from the staff. Dinner in the Tempest restaurant was great. Food was vey well presented and ideally portioned. Breakfast has many choices and again food is plentiful. Check out was swift and efficient. We will stay here again when in the Cotswolds"

"We were a group of 7 ranging from 24-86 & a dog - the cottage was an absolute home from home. Downstairs bathroom & bedroom meant my mum with mobility issues was comfortable. The tiled floors downstairs mean no worries about dirty feet and paws. The house is comfortable & homely, you don't feel like you are treading on eggshells as everything is well used (in a good way) so you're not scared about touching anything! It feels warm &relaxing. 5 mins drive to Bidford with takeaways and Co-op. Lovely river walk on the doorstep for the dog. Geoff was fab, lots of communication & everything you could ever need to know in the folders in the house. The only things to be aware of - which are specified in the listing - are that the parking is not right by the house (& you need to reverse out up the lane), garden isn't enclosed & you have to go through the single bedroom to get to the twin, the bathroom is downstairs. These minor "inconveniences" are more than made up for by the amount of space. All the bedrooms are spacious and the downstairs layout means everyone can be together but have their own space & there is plenty of seating for everyone to sit together by the fire or at the table. We had everything we needed to cook a full roast dinner (the slow cooker was a bonus!) The wood-burner is massive and wonderful. So all in all I can't recommend Geoff's cottage highly enough. If you want high end modern spec then it's not for you, but for cosy comfort in a home that feels loved 10/10"
