"This is a Japanese hotel, in an area with a lot of Japanese and Korean restaurants and shops. The area is quite different to the old town - very few tourists but pretty nice. The hotel itself was a basic clean Japanese style. Good room and bathroom. Staff really only speak very basic English but are nice. "

Affordable, clean, well situated hotel

"This hotel was a great base for exploring the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff was pleasant, responsive, and helpful. The included breakfast buffet was delicious (included smoked duck breast, passion and other fresh fruits among other foods ) and you could order eggs prepared a variety of ways as well as the Vietnamese traditional noodle soup. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom immaculate. "

"Solaria Hotel is an excellent hotel for a visit to Hanoi situated in a convenient location. We had a connecting room that worked well for our family of 4. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well. In addition, the breakfast buffet is delicious with a nice range of Vietnamese specialties as well as Western options. Most importantly, the service at Solaria Hotel is impeccable. The hotel was very responsive in all my pre-trip questions which I greatly appreciated. "

Gem in the middle of old quarter

"Staff were welcoming, friendly attentive and personable from the moment stepped in to moment left. The room was large well equiped although bathroom was a little small the pool area is also small but wasnt an issue whilst i stayed for 1 night they are builing new rooftop bar which should be lovely when completed at end April 2025. Breakfast was fab would highly recommend. Great location minutes from train street and restaurants "

"I had an absolutely amazing stay at Meritel Hanoi! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Their hospitality was exceptional, always friendly and attentive. The room was fantastic—beautifully designed, clean, and incredibly cozy. It was like a birthday cake—sweet, delightful, and perfect in every way! Every detail, from the amenities to the ambiance, was top-notch. "The staff is very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was exceptional. The breakfast was included and was a very complete buffet along with a full egg station. The coffee and fresh squeezed juices were great! The location in the old quarter is so easy to get around by foot and it is a block from a small lake and tourist area. I’d glad stay again. "
