"We enjoyed the cottage espically thr cosy log burner , the garden is not good if you struggle with walking up very steep steps , there was a very weird smell in the bathroom , cottage very rural , but we enjoyed walks , the main bedroom bed is very squeaky bit uncomfortable , but we did enjoy our stay away "

"The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...

"We had an amazing stay, loved the atmosphere and the view from the property, the pictures don’t quite capture how cozy it was. The garden is fenced and chicken wire all around so was very secure for our pet. we would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend to friends "

"Cosy, comfy cottage. A few cobwebs but nothing too bad. Electric radiators in all the rooms so heating wasn’t a problem. Me and my brother stayed as it was close to Mam Tor. The host was a character but pleasant enough and left us to it. He lives in the adjoining property so worth considering if you want total privacy. Overall, we enjoyed staying there."

"We loved our time staying at Midsummer Barn. The pictures online do not do it justice. It has character and charm. It is spacious and comfortable and well equipped for everything a family needs for time away. There were fresh eggs and cider to welcome us which was a lovely touch. The view is spectacular and the area is very quiet and peaceful. It’s easy access to motorways, but feels miles away. Yvonne was a responsive, gracious host. "THE PROPERTY IS IN NEED OF UPDATEING WITH A BIT MORE ATTENTION TO DETAIL, A CANOPY WOULD GO DOWN WELL OVER THE HOTTUB , LIKE IN THE PICTURE OURS WAS MISSING WOULD MAKE IT A LITTLE MORE PRIVATE"

"Super cute house in a quaint, hilly area! The host was very responsive and super nice. The hot tub was clean and warm and the house felt very comfortable in general, being well stocked with kitchen and cleaning supplies, games, towels, and bedding. I thought it was adorable and a cozy stay for a few days. I would definitely go back to explore the local area and hiking more. "
