"The only toilet facilities was a porta potty which smelled and looked like it had not been emptied in months. Shower did not have a way to lock the door of the only shower, to keep others out. We did not have cell phone reception because of the mountains and no way to contact the owner. No one was around to check us in."

"What a peaceful, beautiful and tucked away piece of heaven! We spent 3 days in our pjs resting and recuperating from a long years worth of trials and tribulations. "We were able to have great communication with the hosts Scott and Lynn, and Scott was there to meet us and give a quick lay of the land. We had a nice spot near the creek basically to ourselves and were able to have a great spot near DuPont and Pisgah bike trails! Definitely would recommend!"

"The cottage is absolutely adorable outside and inside! We had never been to the Carolinas so we very much appreciated the welcome book filled with valuable information about places to eat and fun outdoor activities! Everything was clean and cozy. The outdoor water feature had the most peaceful sound and was beautiful to look at. We plan to return again this summer and will definitely try to rent the same cottage again! "
