We loved the peace and quiet of the location and would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone looking for a break in this location."

It's remote enough to see the stars in the hot tub on a clear night, but has a lot of towns and villages around to drive to for days out, plus local walks which were detailed in the welcome book. In a perfect world the curtains in the bedrooms would have blackout lining (for the summer sunrises) and the dishwasher would be replaced as the racks are shedding rust, but otherwise a fantastic stay."

"Stayed here for Christmas at this beautiful cottage. From the time of booking, Merrick was a pleasure to deal with. He even arranged for the fire to be lit for when we got there! Upon arrival the cottage was so appealing and absolutely immaculate. It was everything that we had hoped for. It had everything that you could need and all of it was of the highest quality. "Lovely little cottage very clean, warm, quiet, nicely renovated, friendly animals and farmer next door. My daughter was a little spooked by spiders,and clusters of hibernating ladybirds in corners. Could do with a working outside light as very dark at night. Lady from office was lovely and helpful although no logs for fire as promised. Didn't know about road closure in evening/overnight at end of drive, but a kind workman let us through and back in so we could visit family nearby in evenings."
