First stay at the Staverton. Very handy for an event we were attending. Room in need of a bit of tlc, most of the staff were helpful and friendly. The taxi company the receptionist recommended was a let down, ordered 2 and only 1 turned up. Very late for the return pick up.

A utilitarian hotel which is starting to show its age. Long, chilly corridors led to a reasonable, basic room. A wall-mounted electric radiator struggled to warm the room, which was poorly-soundproofed. Reception, breakfast and bar all fine by British hotel standards; travellers from elsewhere would probably find them mediocre.
