"I had stayed at a number of budget hotels in my 30+ years of traveling. Even at a budget hotel it should be clean. When I checked in, there was mold in the bathroom ceiling. After some discussion they moved me to another room which was cleaner but then the TV didn't work. I again raised this to their attention and they said only two TVs work in the buiding and they were renovating and did not have a timeline of when the TVs would be working for anyone. "The room was overall clean, and it was nice to have a kitchen available. However, there was no door for the washroom, which could be inconvenient when traveling with others. The room didn’t have a hairdryer. It seemed the hotel was converted from an office building. My room didn’t have a window, only glass doors with a curtain, which didn’t feel very private. It’s a functional space, but some design choices might not suit everyone’s needs."

"This is a nice bed & breakfast. My room was on the ground floor, near to the entrance hall which meant I could hear other guests coming and going. The door wasn’t exactly soundproof, the curtains didn’t quite close but overall it’s a good place to stay. Breakfast was adequate and the hosts were pleasant enough."

"Luxurious B&B, very tranquil, clean, quiet, nice modern rooms. Belgian beers & wine available at democratic prices. Owner couple runs this B&B and have gradually expanded it over the past 12 years to now 15 rooms. We stayed in the Superior Room type which seems try largest one and is the size of a studio with separate sitting area. Breakfast served in common area but otherwise no restaurant on-site. Biking and walking trails nearby. Highly recommended for a quiet stay near Dendermonde. "

"Very convenient location for museum lovers. The neighbourhood was well maintained and I felt safe walking alone day and night. The room I stayed in was small (with an en suite bathroom) and furnished nicely. There was a mini fridge, a coffee maker and a small kettle. There is no front desk, someone sends you a code for the door. The price was reasonable for the room. I would consider staying here again. "

"We had an amazing time here, such a lovely place and really warm despite it being winter! The breakfast was amazing, a basket of goodies to tuck into with all the required utilities in the kitchenette. Parking was great with an option for EV charging. "It's a budget property, in a less than popular area, close the the midi station and a short walk to everything in the city centre. The out of hours arrangement was perfectly ok, though getting through the front door was challenging. All the icons were rubbed out, so makes it difficult to press the right keys, but they've promised to replace the key pad. Sadly the WiFi was none existent, pretty poor when all cafés and centres have copious WiFi in this developed city!! But sadly not at Smartflats...
