"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. "We had a wonderful stay here, the place is centrally located amongst the vineyards. The settings is private and well appointed. We laid out at night on the loungers watching the stars. As it is located in the countryside the night sky was an amazing display of bright stars. Easy drive to Carcassonne or the Mediterranean. The town of la liviniare is close 5min drive with two restaurants. The host was welcoming and helpful on things to do in the region. We enjoyed our stay and would come again."

The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you could want too (amazing cooker!) The location in the hamlet of Entrevergnes Haut is quiet (the neighbours do fix cars in their big garage out the front though - it didn't bother us at all but might bother those who want complete quiet)- and there are beautiful hill top and valley walks from the front...

Petit point ce pendant à améliorer ,des portes manteau dans la salle de bain seraient les bienvenus et la cour extérieur aurait mérité un bon coup de débroussaillage .Pas non plus de séchoir à linge portable dans la maison. What the accomodation lacks in modernity, it more than makes up for in size of rooms, cleanliness, the MOST comfortable beds, facilities (including a pool and steam room) and self catering amenities. But what sets this place apart, is the most incredible breakfast - we have never had such choice and quality!!! The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff also deserves a big mention.
