"In addition to being a nice place to stay (we stayed there in 2019, and 2024), we love all the artwork in the building and on the grounds--the sculptures and the mosaics and stained glass. NEVER remove them in the name of Modernism. Keep them! They give the hotel a timeless elegance. Also, thank you for relighting your neon sign on the roof, and using the original neon tubing where possible, rather than LEDs which rot in the sun over time, whereas neon is glass, and made by hand. I restore vintage neon signs here in the US, and they are a wonderful craft!"

"The name here may lead you to believe that you're staying at a big, fancy resort--if you think that, you'll be disappointed. This is a really great SMALL resort. They serve breakfast, they have a lovely restaurant with great food for lunch/dinner, and they will pick you up at the airport if you set it up beforehand. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they made me a packed breakfast and lunch for my Abu Simbel excursion. I do think they could make life easier by writing up a short hotel guide, with information about services offered and handy tips. Also this is not the most convenient area to stay in Aswan (it can be hard to get drivers to pick you up), and there isn't much outside of the resort area. On the upside--it was quiet!"

"My stay was quite fine. The hotel is very nice. The rooms are rather spare in design but seem recently refurnished in soft light sage color, white ceiling, beige tile floor, black furniture. The bathroom had new fixtures. The staff is marvelous and friendly even packing me a breakfast to take to the airport for my 7:00 a.m. flight. The hotel is right near the Souk, or great Market, so it is in a busy area, though also walking distance to the river and various boat trips on felucca or motorboat."

"One of a kind resort overlooking the Nile with a Zen garden that is only matched by the warmth of the staff. The manager quickly took care of a room issue I had. The food at the restaurant is farm to table and one can laze the day away staring at the Nile...or take a sail out of ride a bike around. I wish I could've stayed longer!"
