"We had a great stay. Kelley was communicative about the details and responded to questions in a timely manner. Location was convenient to downtown Black Mountain. The only issue is the lack of cell phone service, which not a fault of the property, just stating so others are aware. You have to use WiFi calling. I recommend this property for your next visit to the Black Mountain area."

"Host was amazing. Gave my group some insight of the area and had the wood fireplace ready to go. The host had the cabin very well stocked with household items and toiletries. The views of the surrounding mountains were absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that the photos of the listing showed a telescope on the back porch, but there was no telescope to be found upon arrival. The overall experience was absolutely wonderful "

Plenty of bed space and large rooms to gather in. Checking in and out was a breeze and the property manager, Kelley, communicated everything we needed to know. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

The home was unusually quiet and comfortable! The owner was exceptional with communication. By far the best place we have stayed and will definitely stay again. Perfect for our doggie too! "Everything was so nice even though I went at a time when it was cold (March). Only drawback was that the driveway was very steep and my vehicle was unable to make the sharp turn to enter the property. No problems, though, as the owners explained how to do it. Would recommend this place to others."

"My wife and I decided to take our young children to the mountains for an impromptu vacation. We were pleasantly surprised by the home and the beautiful lake upon arrival. This home is extremely well stocked and was very clean. It is in a great location to all of the conveniences you may need but also feels somewhat secluded for that peace of mind. As for the host…Karen is one of the nicest and helpful hosts you could possibly ask for. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking."

"This is the trickiest mountain road I’ve ever driven. 180° turns that go up at 90° angles, but the chalet is worth the drive. The only thing it needs is comfortable living room furniture. Dealing with Darlene is a delight. Highly recommend."

"One of the cleanest, best stocked VRBO's I've ever stayed in. Quick communications with owner. They even had decorated with a Christmas tree :) The only warning I'd give is that you have a large vehicle (like a Suburban), the road these chalets are on would be challenging! The road is very narrow with switchbacks."

"Six of us stayed in the chalets for two nights. It was a perfect size for our group and we liked the privacy and sleeping options the two units provided. We enjoyed the walk into town - just about a mile to the nearest brewery, though we took Ubers home. Overall a great stay and perfect for our purposes."

"What a beautiful cottage, felt just like home from the moment we walked in the door. Pretty fresh flowers greeted us on the kitchen table. 2 very large size bedrooms & baths...perfectly sized for our stay it was myself, my fiancée & his parents. If you love quiet & tranquil space THIS is the place!! No hustle of a busy hotel...Loved looking out the window at the horses, unfortunately it rained most of the weekend so we couldn't experience too much outdoors BUT definitely plan on a Summer weekend...
