"Lovely traditional family run hotel. Full of charm and history everything is fine sedately and in keeping with the owners vision of a home from home for the residents. For us it felt a little too formal at times and we only had dinner once, preferring the more casual style of some the valley's other restaurants. The food was good though. Breakfast was the only exception...a bit of a scrum most mornings with popular choices often running out."

It hurts me to give a poor review but I have to do so because of the way I was treated upon arriving at the hotel - it was a rude and almost surreal unprofessional check in experience - coupled later with several mishaps in terms of hygiene and safety. "The biggest disappointment was the distance from Zermatt, our destination. It took us 3 hours one way- 2 buses and 2 trains to change to reach our destination. This results in loss of precious time for travellers, who have a tight schedule. Point de Zinal SHOULD NOT be displayed as a property in Zermatt. It is misleading- EXPEDIA to note please"

"The house was very cozey, and convenient location. However the communication between the hostes and I were poor. As I was only told as that we need to bring our own towels and linen for bedding after we had arrive and I asked where it was!!! Very inconvenient trying to find these items in a small town, let alone after 7pm also!! Other then that, it's a lovely place to stay!!"
