"We went to Budapest as a birthday present for my other half. We booked a standard room but i emailed the hotel to try to arrange an upgrade to a suite or Junior suite as a surprise. No reply was forthcoming so I thought i'd discuss this on arrival. When we arrived we were told we'd been upgraded so I thought maybe they'd acted on my email but the room wasn't what I wanted so I went to reception, asked about an upgrade to a suite and to my surprise they gave us a suite at no extra charge. The Suite was fantastic, breakfast excellent and all of the staff couldn't do more for us - they were all wonderful. We were especially happy with János Babolcs in the Lobby who was the loveliest and most helpful person. We usually go for more intimate, boutique style hotels but we couldn't find one that was in the right location so we chose the Continental and we were really glad we did. For us it was a fantastic experience and one which we would wholeheartedly recommend "

"Great central location. Helpful staff. Cool restaurants nearby. Comfortable room, though tended to be too warm. Gym equipment not well maintained (stationary bike and elliptical); no cleaning equipment, unlike every other gym I’ve ever been to! Floor mats not clean. Sauna out of order- disappointing! Overall, a good stay."
