"Chalet #5 was generally clean, somewhat updated with good windows; furnishings were dated but in good repair and comfortable. The overall finishes were a hodgepodge, no cohesive decorating theme. Good lighting. Bathtub and hot tub were both clean. Nice dishwasher and clothes washer with adequate supplies of detergent. Comfortable bed in master. Areas of concern: Light bulb out in refrigerator. Upstairs bed was creaking which could be heard downstairs. Cobwebs in the master bedroom and above...

"The location was quiet and serene and the house was everything we expected based on the listing! It was clean and friendly and we would definitely either stay here again or recommend to a friend! The only reason we decided 4 stars instead of 5 was the difficulty/lack of clarity on where to park and how overgrown the pathway to the chalet was, making it difficult to bring luggage back and forth. Other than that, the perfect experience"

"Overall, we really love the house in Girdwood. There were a few things that could be improved upon. We had no hand soap, not enough towels, not enough toilet paper, and the washer and dryer were out of service and appear to have been for the last two years since the last time that we rented this house. "On our way from Anchorage to Seward, we stopped at Arlene and Roger's beautiful home. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the house itself was stunning. Arlene and Roger remodeled it themselves, and the attention to detail is incredible. Our party of nine had plenty of space, with everyone enjoying their own private area.
