"It’s a beautiful place and very clean. We loved EVERYTHING except for the roads and steps. It’s hard to find. Parking is tight with lots of steps to get in and around the house. It’s a great view though! "

"Fabulous home in a beautiful, serene valley. You will definitely feel the love when you arrive here. We were greeted by the whole family bearing, wine, charcuterie, and a pineapple upside down cake. It is always such an honor to stay in one of these family homesteads. Lots of space, beautiful décor, amazing landscaping and views of the village. Enjoy a walk along the river in the flowers and vineyards. This is a great place to relax."

"The property has an attractive top floor and good seating outside and lovely views of the Douro. It’s billed as being ideal for families who want to holiday together but have their own space but this isn’t really the case. There are no facilities downstairs at all, no fridge, bin, kettle for example. So living separately isn’t possible. The pool is a good size and a lovely addition to the property. "We had an amazing holiday here. The pool is huge and the gardens are beautiful with lots of shaded areas to sit and eat. Carmen was very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome and gave us all the privacy we needed - the perfect host. A thoroughly relaxing time and a great location for exploring nearby towns like Braga, Aveiro and Porto. A wonderful place to stay!"

"We moved from another place on short notice, and they were very accommodating. We visited Porto, Aviero, braga Arouca, 516 bridge and Gaia. It is located in a little town and is on a private street where we could park right in front. It was walking distance to restaurants and various things. Not a lot of businesses in the town but we purposely wanted a quiet place. The apartment was on the first floor, which is one up from the ground, and what was the equivalent of a house. "Very nice house overall. We used the pool and barbecue. The view was gorgeous. It was a little further from the wineries we planned to visit but was a easy trip to Porto by car. "The property itself is lovely, well equipped and comfortable. However the description and photographs of the exterior space are completely misleading. There is no outside terrace only a table by the front door on the driveway. No mention was made of upstairs tenants who park their car by the outside table. We were informed one toilet was faulty on arrival. This was not fixed. We were also informed 24 hours before arrival that we had to sign a contract and hand over 150€ in cash as surety. The...

"Magnifique accueil d'Isabel, la maison est très bien, très propre et très calme. Chaque question reçoit une réponse sympathique, Isabel est à l'écoute et au service de ses clients, elle a toujours le sourire et est très disponible. "The villa is truly amazing. It is very well kept, very clean, and very well equipped. Jessica, our caretaker was wonderful. She was prompt and flexible and kept the kitchen very clean. Marcus, the owner, was very responsive anytime we asked for something or needed a change of plans during our stay. It was a wonderful experience. "We had a lovely holiday in Alvarenga. Manuel and his family were warm and welcoming and we loved attempting to chat round the pool in French and Spanish! It's a beautiful area with green eucalyptus hills and the Geo park provided some interesting spots to visit. "Amazing views of river. Minimalist decor allowing one to enjoy the gorgeous nature surrounding the entire property. The spa, gym, swimming pools, sauna and steam room were spectacular. The restaurant had a 5⭐️ chef. "
