"Major issue with safety as bedside lamps were hanging by their electrical cord. Also arriving at 5pm the room was not ready as they were short of staff. Quality of food at breakfast was really good but took a long time to prepare and the staff were trying to close the dining area while guests were still eating"

"Convenient location in the middle of town but no parking facility..Public car parking 100 metres away. Bedroom noisy up to 23.00 due to karaoke in bar downstairs. Very friendly and attentive staff and food choice and quality was excellent - best barbecued ribs I have had in a long time. Well kept Real Ale."

Had dinner in the restaurant which was good, and a range of local beer was available. Room was very comfortable with usual drink options plus a coffee machine. Good options on the breakfast menu, which was delicious. "

"I’m certain, on the Trivago web site, it said Breakfast included. However I was asked £12.50 for breakfast which was very limited in choice. I could have stayed at the Old Thorns hotel with breakfast and a pool and spa for less!"
