"Positive feedback… Our evening meal was delicious, breakfast was great & the staff were friendly. Negative. Caught the kitchen staff helping themselves to customers chips once the food has been plated. Our room bed side table was full of biscuits crumbs and a stained coaster. The en-suite bin had the previous guests rubbish in it."

"The dining room decor was amazing taken from the ship Olympic. Linen tablecloths changed after every meal. The staff were friendly and super efficient and the food was excellent. The bedroom decor was tired and room servicing was below par, water glasses not cleaned. The bar staff were not always available and when we went for a nightcap after the theatre the bar was shut at just 10pm"

"Delightful quirky accommodation; staff very friendly, lounge very homely with lovely log burner and plenty of glasses to enjoy your own drinks, snacks or takeaway food etc. Large communal tables which gives lots of opportunity to meet and socialise with other guests. Although our room wasn’t large it had everything we needed and was full of character. Alnwick has lots to see and do and lovely restaurants."

"A beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Our room (the Bamburgh) was large, bright and very comfortable. There’s a great choice for breakfast and for dinner (with my gluten intolerance catered for brilliantly). The hotel is literally opposite the castle with stunning walks on the doorstep. "
