"Great location wise and easy walk into the main town good size room, well decorated with well stocked mini bar 😊 Would recommend, only downside was we were in the room downstairs (basement) so view out of windows was not good. "

"The pictures that are used for single rooms at Emerald House don't do them justice. The room I had contained a mini-fridge, kettle, hairdryer, sink and enough encroutements for both cleaning and drinking and a small TV on an extendable arm, allowing for some background noise whilst chilling. Location wise I needed something close to both the city centre and also the university and this met both needs. There are bus stops on either side of the road quite nearby and these are great to get...

"Perfect location for walking into the city or to the railway station (no more than 10-15mins). Stayed in the delux double bedroom in the annex. Confused as room didn’t match the images on their website. Duty manager informed and he agreed and apologised. For a delux room would have expected more luxuries, the only benefit seemed to be size of room and en-suite. Breakfast options ok, but as for advertising continental options, only saw yoghurt "

"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"
