"I would definitely stay here again. Very, very clean facilities. It looks like it has recently been renovated. Rooms were comfortable. A large kitchen and dining area, as well as a large game room. It was close enough to walk to town. I highly recommend staying here. "

"Alpenhotel Allgau has a good location in Schwangau, close to the Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, Museum of the Bavarian kings. The rooms were small and the beds were rather hard. The breakfast was a essentially a continental breakfast of rolls and coffee. The signage is poor and the entrance is hard to spot. Check in was easy but checkout was difficult because their credit card processing machine didn't work and had to be re-started.I wouldn't stay there again but rather will plan...

"Staying here was a fluke, and one of the highlights of my three visits to the Allgau region, in fact I would go as far as to say my three trips to Germany. I should point out I enjoy climbing in the mountains of NZ, so the rolling hill country that this area covers was a great relaxing way to meet both the country and the people. "We had a wonderful time staying at this apartment. Good view of the mountains as it sits opposite on the hill. It is a bit of a walk into town, but we did not mind it. It was really nice to have a walk after dinner! Apartment was clean, simple, but has everything you need. As our visit was in the summer - we did not use the sauna. Be aware the garage is small. We had a van and fortunate not all the spaces were full or we would have trouble getting in/ out. Would definitely stay here again!"
