"Spent a winter wonderland of a week at Mont Cervin and can't recommend it highly enough. 15min walk from town but you never have to do the uphill yourself because the wonderful owners will shuttle you to and from the ski fields. At night they'll shuttle you up to the main strip for dinner and it's an easy walk back! I recommend adding on the brekky option, saves a lot of hassle and is delicious every morning. "Only the couple managing the property, doing all rooms and check in and dining. So be patient. Even they might not know much English they still provide great service and try to accommodate your needs. Nice restaurants and convenient store around though most close early. Walking distance to the Akakura Obsen Ski area."

"My wife and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at hotel Taiko. The hotel employees were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is only a short walk to the kumado ski base. "Staff was super nice and helpful, location is good and just takes two minutes walk from the hotel to the Akakura Onsen Ski Resort Chairlift. The room is big enough but facilities were a bit old and lack of maintenance though."
