Goryu was an excellent slop to start on with Hakubah 47 connection via gondola was so worth while. Good drying room for gear was great to dry gear over night. "Hotel is okay from a room/cleaniness. Check-in was a problem with both hotels.com and the actual check-in. Hotels.com doesn't handle international travel well as they didn't put in that the room we chose was double occupancy. It's not in our receipt which is telling me that it probably got lost in the email to the hotel. It's in the app but apparently that wasn't relayed to the hotel. When we checked in, the reception said it was for single occupancy although we paid the double rate already...

"Masao and Yasuko are amazing hosts. Definitely recommend breakfast and dinner at Canadian House. We hired a car from Nagano and parked at Canadian House. We then drove to 5 different resorts all within 30 minutes. A really good option if you want to base yourself in Myoko and ski the nearby hills. Can't thank Masao and Yasuko enough."

"Location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk from the station and chair lift. Kitchen staff is very thoughtful. I stayed for 3 nights, although all 3 nights were hot pot for dinner with the same ingredients, the soup base was different for every night. Staff are super friendly, making you feel welcome. The only issue I had was on the first night when there kids staying and they ran around the whole lodge making all sort of noise until late."
