"The property was ideal for our needs, close to the city centre and on a pedestrianised area so no through traffic. The owners kept us well informed of all we needed to know including the best places to dine in the area and slightly further afield. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return should the need arise."

"I selected this property for one night because it was within 10 minutes of the Athens airport. It does not have a reception desk but their written instructions were very clear to gain access to the property. I wish I had more time because the property and the pool were lovely. "

"Very beautiful views atop a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The road up is a challenge, for sure. Probably unlike anything else you have driven, but very doable with a little patience. The size of the place it a little tight for a family of 4, but you can make it work. The pool and patio are lovely and the hosts are very kind. "

"Apartment is very homely and had everything you could need for the perfect holiday. Pool area very clean and peaceful. The town is easily accessable being a 10min walk, where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. A small supermarket close to the property has everything you require including fresh bread daily. Contact with host was easy and although we didn't require help there were contact numbers for any neccessity. Our third visit to Crete and yet again we were not disappointed and will...

"We had a wonderful stay at the Rafkos mansion. Stelios the owner took us wherever we needed to go and we had delicious meals at one of the local restaurants. It would be wise to have a car because it’s in a village about 30mins. from Heraklion. Stelios is the definition of Greek hospitality! "

"We enjoyed our stay here - the staff answered messages quickly, and the room although basic had everything needed for a few nights stay including a small well equipped kitchen area (kettle, coffee machine, stove hob). Bathroom was small but perfectly useable. A bit more information about the area would be useful but that's what the internet is for. Check in was via a coded key pick up. The location is about 15 minutes walk from main areas of the town. "

"Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional! Having enjoyed several all-inclusive holidays in the past, we can confidently say this one stands out as the best by far. The variety of food options was simply incredible—there was so much to choose from that we were spoiled for choice! From an abundance of healthy dishes to excellent vegetarian options, every meal was a delight. Our room was immaculate, chic, and beautifully decorated, with a spacious and modern bathroom that exceeded our expectations. Housekeeping ensured our room was spotless every day, always adding a personal touch with their care and attentiveness. The restaurants provided top-notch service alongside an impressive selection of dishes. Every meal felt like a special occasion, leaving us consistently impressed. The hotel’s location by the sea was breathtaking. Sipping expertly crafted cocktails on the beach while enjoying the serene views was an absolute highlight. The pizza and burger station added a fun and convenient touch that we absolutely loved. If we could give this hotel more than 10 stars, we absolutely would! We're already planning to explore another Mitsis hotel in the future, thanks to this unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank-you to the entire team for making our stay so remarkable. "My husband and I have both traveled internationally but neither of us have ever experienced the type of gracious and considerate hotel staff. Each and every one we encountered was amazing. This was really proven when my husband, who has heart problems, had to be taken to the hospital. They arranged a car to take me (while my husband was in the ambulance) and deliver both of us back home upon release. This was our first visit to Crete, for our 30th anniversary and we could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. "
