"Staff were friendly but the service was slow. It was particularly busy as they had two balls on the day we stayed. Excellent service from Danny in the Thai restaurant. Other staff need more training. Great selection at breakfast but a lot of it was only luke warm. Very warm welcome at reception. I actually felt that they wanted me to have a nice stay rather than just saying it.Comfy bed and great to have a bath and separate shower."

"Beautiful hotel, great service and the Blok restaurant was very nice. Disappointing with such limited use of spa facilities, which we couldnt use due to the timing of our evening meal, amd breakfast. Overall a lovely hotel though, would stay again but be a little more savvy with planning to maximise the stay. One thing to bare in mind is the additional costs for your stay. £25 early check in, £18 breakfast (pp), extra cost to use the outdoor heated pool and, of course, treatments at circa £90pp...

"Overall, the accommodation was lovely – not five-star luxury that we’d expected for the price, but we had a lovely trip away. Fridge is very noisy which resulted in a restless sleep on both nights. "We loved our stay - property was clean and in good condition, and walkable to everything we wanted to do. Would stay here again. Pro tip - there’s a coffee shop run out of a church about a block away. Hours are atypical, but great coffee and the nicest people on planet earth!!!"

"The room was fantastic but the check in experience was very poor. We had a printout from an email which said to use the Gileston Manor Courtyard with cream gates as the entrance, upon arrival at 7:30PM (more than 3 hours before check in ended) the gates were locked and the number provided was going straight to voicemail. Texts and voicemail was left with no response. After waiting for 20 minutes with the car hazards on, on a main road, we decided to look around and parked in the Manor Estate...
