"The Galle Fort Hotel is a truly lovely boutique property set within the walls of Galle Fort. We stayed in the Grand Apartment room which was gorgeous with fabulous furnishings. The Bar and lounge areas are both lovely and the pool, loved the tiling, was a must to cool off. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was great, wasn't keen on their coffee bean but other than that faultless. "Haritha villa and spa is an extraordinary hotel. I spent 3 nights there with my wife and two children aged 13 and 11. It is set in beautiful green surroundings just 5-10 minutes from the coast. There are only 9 quite secluded villas. We stayed in the second largest one with private pool. We had half board. The food was absolutely amazing! A la carte menu with great choice and fresh sea food. There is a spa on site which look fantastic. We used the small gym there. The staff are very friendly....

Rooms were full with mosquitos,bed linen and pillow case covers was not changed when we arrived and they changed them after we checked in to the room and they sprayed bugs spray all over and it was difficult to breathe. It was raining and that room's electricity went off 4 times and each time it went to we had to run to the reception to inform them as they did not pickup phone.
