"Easy to find on the main road. Hosts daughter who checked me in and showed me around was very friendly. Although travelling solo, I had booked their largest room with kitchenette and it was great. Spacious, very clean, had a small balcony along one side but you could leave your room and sit on the huge upstairs balcony with comfy chairs too. "Overall, this hotel is very average. There were a few positive and negatives. I’ll start with the positives. After asking for water and toiletries, they were eventually provided. They let me shower after checkout and stored my bag, which was nice! The room is very average, but there was a gap above the door that didn’t shut all the way which let bugs in at night. "Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"Shehan Guest House is great value, really close to the beach and walking distance from all the fun things to do at Mirrisa Beach. Pushpa is also so lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone on a budget looking for a place to stay. "

"Nice place to stay. Comfortable clean rooms. I thought for this price they may make the beds. I also asked for a special request that the said they could do, but they didnt end up doing it... It was flowers on the bed for my girlfriends birthday. Then we asked if we could have one more breakfast as we were still hungry as compensation for not having power for the day and then they said no, which wasnt a big deal. Just thought they may do that. The serving staff were very nice."
