"The hotel is very tasteful designed and comfortable. It's conveniently located some 15 minutes' walk from the railway station and close to the city centre. The description is faithful to the reality. The staff was pleasant and courteous but not all of them had good command of English. "

"10 mins taxi ride from Kyoto station. We used taxis as lines for buses were really long during Sakura season. Taxis came within 5 mins each time. Use the “Go taxi app” Hotel is fantastic. Rooms are modest size for Japan. We had a king bed. Very comfortable. Our room was sound proofed. Couldn’t hear anyone. Breakfast was great and the roof top bar was very nice. Overall a 5 star experience for my wife and I. We just visited this past(2025) cherry blossom season. March 31 to April 5th"

"This is always a priority stay when in Kyoto. This hotel is a luxury stay for an affordable price. "Due to there being 3 of us in our family, we had to reserve 2 rooms. I had hoped for 2 single beds but was only given a full size bed in each room. The rooms are very, very small as are the bathrooms with very little space for storage of suitcases . Just be aware. Also, I attempted to use the washing machine, and although there are instructions in English, and I followed them, it still didn’t work correctly. One plus is free coffee and tea. "Excellent hotel on busy Kawaramachi street. Staff is professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also excellent. Rooms are spacious (for Japanese hotels), modern, clean and have a nice decor. Even though Kawaramachi street is very busy, the rooms are very quiet. "Good location in a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to Kyoto. Good facilities and the room was well appointed. Buffet breakfast was limited for a 5 star hotel, especially for vegetarian travellers. Did not set you up for the day. "
