Due to Florence marathon on Sunday and the 24 rail strike, which started on Saturday night, we had to extend our stay. The staff did everything they could to help us with alternate travel plans."

"We got a family connecting room. One of the rooms was constantly blowing hot air and there was no way to reduce the temperature. The elevator was tiny - I have not seen such a tiny elevator. Otherwise staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel was overall nice. "

We also had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant. The wait staff especially the waiter Moi were very attentive and nice. We feel really fortunate to choose this hotel. "

"Charming hotel with excellent staff and service, plus a great restaurant for evening meals. The only small downside is that it is a couple of kms from the main tourist zone, but that is a short walk and they have frequent minibus transfers for guests"

Lucia gave us a quick overview of Florence including the museums, the parks, the restaurants and the Christmas market.
