"Beautiful stay in Bangkok. The room was clean and had a spectacular panorama window overlooking the river! Lovely upgrade thanks to my Expedia vip status. The rooftop pool was amazing with incredible views overlooking the river as well-only wish it was open later to enjoy as it’s almost too hot to enjoy in the mid day blazing sun. The river shuttle was a lovely touch and enjoyable to experience putting you in touch with all the major access points in the city. Had dinner upon checking at Longboard with was nice but their breakfast Buffett really shines. A major spread of everything you can think of, but done in a tasteful way-not a glutinous American style Buffet. "

"We’ve been to Bangkok’s Shangrila on many occasions. We keep returning because this beautiful property is located on the river and it’s such a great escape from Bangkok’s busyness. And going into town is so easy because the sky train station Saphan Taksin is next door. Spa is amazing! Food is amazing! And somehow their staff is even more amazing than before. They’re just so helpful with whatever you may need. This trip we did a private long tail boat tour on the Chaopraya River and they coordinated it all and had the boat pick us up at Shangrila’s pier. We also needed help with finding our 2 year old a babysitter. We informed them in advance they provided a fabulous nanny. Such a great experience per usual!!!"

Stayed here a year ago, and decided to venture out and try a new hotel in a different neighborhood for my return- big mistake- spent one night at other hotel and went back to Millennium Hilton The staff, the location, the river, the free river ferry service, the pool, the breakfast spread! Hotel staff are so nice and kind and helpful You’ll be missing out if you don’t book a Thai massage at the hotel Stop thinking about it and book your stay, will make Bangkok so much better Iconsiam is next door and fun to experience Highly, highly recommend "
