"We booked the Alhambra Palace Hotel for one night in Granada. The obvious big plus here is the proximity to the Alhambra which amazing to see (private tour is well worth it !). The hotel has an old world flair and grandeur that is special. The view from the bar and breakfast area and balcony is exceptional. Irene, the concierge, spent considerable time highlighting sights, restaurants, and bodegas to visit. Seemed genuinely glad to help. From the always smiling bellhops, front desk staff, breakfast staff, to the cleaning help, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. "I benchmark a 5 star experience against chains like the Peninsula. This was a total surprise. Ski weekend and this hotel is perfect. The staff is all in sync and have consistent, excellent professionalism and are just nice people. So many conveniences here for skiers. Right at a chair lift. On site ski rental. Parking. Shuttle. I actually liked the hotel food!!! Nice bar. It really surprised me. The only thing i could possibly critique is the room.doors are not totally soundproof...
