The TV was huge, and the bed was extremely comfortable. well stocked mini bar, an Illy Nespresso style machine and great views made the stay even better. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend Velvet to anyone looking for a great hotel within walking distance of the bets bits of the city. "

"The gem of this hotel is the staff. Service was exceptional in all areas. We had a few issues with the room. The safe did not work and water was cold but these were immediately rectified. Staff in all departments were so friendly and professional. The only thing that would stop me going back to this hotel is the noise from the adjoining rooms. "Hotel is in a good location, easy to walk to main amenities.. The staff are very smart and attentive, particular thanks to Gary who is wonderful we got a lovely welcome from the him when we arrived. Also Kyan looked after us on reception. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice. Room was comfy and good facilities. We used the Spa which is really nice with a good sized pool. Would definitely recommend."

"The whole appearance of the hotel reflects its history. The room and bathroom was tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful, i was able to store my bag after checkout until i was ready to catch the train. The dinner menu is limited hiwever thr food was tasty and the breakfast was more than sufficient and again tasty. I was able to get wifi in public areas but stuffled in my room, however i hasn't staying there for long. "
