"Really nice little inn, service was good. The extra charges I thought were a bit overpriced. £30 per day per dog was £120 for us but the worst charge was the £15 per day for parking. There is no option as it’s quite out of the way and there is other option. It goes as a 5 star - not sure about that. We had a double bed which is really small maybe we are used to a bigger bed, so was not that comfortable and there was mould in the shower, which is an easy fix. "

"The hotel is in a great location for easy access to Windermere. The pool was a short drive away, and as we were there for only a couple of nights we didn't get to use it. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Our bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely. Would be very happy to stay there again on our next visit to Windermere. "

"Really lovely rooms, love the Dr Vranjes diffusers, the little treats and extra touches. We enjoyed attentive and friendly service from all of the staff, with a lovely evening meal in the restaurant and a super breakfast with endless coffee, toast etc and super friendly service that morning which was a lovely start to a difficult day for the group. We were looked after really well and I have no hesitation recommended this charming place. Worth the cost for sure. Many thanks "

"Booked for a last minute getaway, we were greeted very warmly on arrival and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful throughout our three night stay. Very spacious but cozy throughout. Set in a terraced garden with views of lake Windermere. At the time we stayed there were not many guests so cannot say what it would be like when full, however the staff were all extremely professional and I cannot see it would change much when fully booked.
