"A good size room, with large bath & shower, large comfortable bed, room on 1st floor - no noise, very good breakfast - great selection/options, all staff very helpful, very well equipped gym to accommodate all levels/needs. Good location for transport/train to airport. The restaurant meals however...very small portions (pasta dish) +50% for an average size portion. "

"We Loved our stay at the Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel! The location right along the Douro River was incredible; nothing beat standing on our balcony and staring at the Dom Luis Bridge and all of the vineyards in Gaia across the river. The food and staff were wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to book our next trip back!"

"Lovely hotel! Large, spacious, beautiful rooms. Our balcony was right on the open square. It was amazing! The bar was awesome and the American bar tender was very nice and helpful. All the staff were wonderful! The very central location was awesome and made the days easy. Such a short walk to the river, churches, the market, everything! Great hotel!"

"The best thing about Wine & Books Hotel has got to be the friendly and professional staff. The rooms and all the facilities were truly gorgeous, including the pool, and steam room. Our only gripes with the hotel has to do with the "technology". The light switches are confusing and impossible to find in the dark. The "smart tv" has been made dumb by the IT team so that you cannot connect your computer to watch streaming services (and the tv is not required with any streaming apps either). And...
