"The Aurea Washington Irving is a luxurious hotel. The rooms are exquisitely appointed from the bathroom amenities, the coffee and tea service and the bathroom which has a separate tub and bidet. The room was immaculately clean. The staff is incredibly attentive, multilingual and just a pleasure to deal with. "The hotel staff are great, the breakfast bar is fantastic, the room was generous sized & the bed & pillows were very comfortable. But there are a few negatives. The room could definitely get some talc, the flooring was broken away in spots, the tub/shower was hard to contain without water ending up all over, which resulted in some of the trim being wet & rotted looking over the years. Part of the reason we booked this hotel is because they showed an indoor pool & hot tub. But when we went to use...

"We were some of the only people there, it was off season for this location so parking and the pool were no problem but you have to drive in order to get to any of the sites or attractions. Staff was friendly and room was big with plenty of space for a large family. A/C worked well."
