"We enjoyed two nights at the Sonesta Hotel. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The hotel is in a good location to get to and from the airport. We had one meal at La Gondola restaurant inside the hotel. It was good and the prices were fair. We also ordered room service for breakfast once and for dinner once. I noticed a couple of switches were broken in the suite. Rooms are mostly too dark. There aren’t enough lighting sources. Housekeeping is too slow to respond to our requests. "

For me it was annoying as I couldn't sleep the first night luckily they moved me the following night to the Nile river side. Everything else was fine. The Italian restaurant was good but not great. I would have given this hotel 5 stars. "

"The small size of the hotel makes every guest feel special . The rooms are very clean with a stunning view of the river Nile. Gourmet breakfast buffet. The place of the hotel in the center makes every place close. "

"Main issue we had was smoking from adjacent room seeping in from connecting door as well as noisy neighbours. Food is v good however and pool and outside areas all pleasant. Transport onto Cairo sightseeing all easy and cabs etc can be called with ease and quickly. "
