"One night stay, staff friendly and efficient booked in, in no time. Room in a quiet area of the hotel, although small perfectly adequate for my needs. Comfortable bed with plrenty of pillows. Surprised to find out the pool, jacuzzi, sauna remains open until 22:00, so had the place to myself for about an hour. Breakfast was excellent with good staff making sure all my needs were catered for. Hotel, although redecorated is showing a lot of signs that it is old and dated. There was cracked pavers...

"The hotel was in a great location, close enough for shopping, dining and nightlife. Although the room was clean, as in bedding and bathroom, the room itself was very tired and in need of updating. It served its purpose of a last minute overnight stay, but probably wouldn’t stay again at that price while its in its current state. Staff were polite and friendly."

"Arrival staff were very friendly and accommodating. Parts of the hotel itself looked a little tired but this didn’t put us off. Our room did have a funny smell but we didn’t want to complain, it was still clean. The bed was little bouncy however I am aware this is a personal preference matter. The spa was lovely. Had a nice evening in there and following morning. Overall this is a lovely place to come for a short trip to wind down. "

"Nice hotel about 10min drive from chester centre. Beds comfy, nice ala carte breakfast in morning. Pool / spa is superb, one of best i have ever been. Staff really nice. Would recommend "

"Room and food good/OK. Staff and Service VERY good. Riverside location and floating deck add touch of perfection. Uphill walk through Grosvenor Park to city centre less than 15 minutes. We’ll return on our next visit. "

"I have stayed in two of the apartments (3 and 5) - both have an equipped kitchen/living area, two bedrooms with bathrooms, and a washing machine. Apartment 3 is on the ground floor. Apartment 5 is on the first floor (up stairs) has an additional powder room. The apartments are located in an annex within easy walking distance of the hotel and all the sites in the city centre, about 100 yard, close to the city wall and River Dee. Parking is a bit crowded - barely enough space if all the apartments...

"Good location, grounds and facilities. But for the price and a 5* hotel they were a few niggles such as the bathroom needed some bleach around the shower and sink plug hole ect. For the luxury they're advetising deep cleaning should be an obvious but didnt looked like it had been done. And masses of cobwebs around the doors to get into rooms. "
