As someone that does not drink alcohol and most hotels only offer cocktails and champagne at check in so I found this delightful. "The 747 in the back was a huge draw but other than taking pictures of it, there was nothing even close to do. The transportation bus every 30 minutes to main train station helped but nothing to do around the property. The breakfast buffet was very good with a nice selection. When you are interested in military history, the fortresses of the defense line of Amsterdam are a must see. Build around 1900, it consists of some 46 fortresseses, batteries, dikes, dams and locks. The enemy was partly kept out by inundating the land outside the defense line. The invention of the airplane was a real spoiler for military strategists...
