"Really liked the HHV overall. Beach is awesome, fireworks amazing. A variety of restaurants and to -go options made eating out an adventure. Loved the malasadas at the coffee place. First impression was compromised when airport shuttle drops you in the garage at the “ bus terminal “ rather than at the main entrance. A heads up on that would help with the disbelief. Also having to walk 450 steps to check in area was difficult for an elderly person. Golf carts were sitting there but no one around....

"We love this resort. It's our second time in Hawaii and our second time at the Moana Surfrider (loving our first stay there soo much) resort. One thing we think would improve our experience is if monitoring of actual use of the deck chairs by stafff was more active. We had to spend our time monitoring unused deck chairs and convincing staff to remove towels off the chairs so we could use them. Unfair holding of deck chairs is rather prolific at this resort. "The hotel is lovely and minimalistic. I loved the quiet ambiance amid the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The amenities could have been at a higher level such as the coffee and creamer ( do not like powdered creamer) and water stations could be on more floors. The service by the staff was excellent and they were all very friendly & helpful in responding to our requests."
