"A small gem in a part of queens that is generally considered destitute. Im glad I stayed, we loved the hotel. We had issues with the television and they upgraded our room but we still had TV issues in the new room so we gave up on the TV. Although not directy on the beach only a block away and still get a decent view of the beach. Beautiful boardwalk on the beach. Parking lot is about 2 blocks away but you can opt for valet parking but there was a good amount of street parking available...

"Very convenient for getting around Greenpoint, and a five minute walk to the subway if you want to take the 7 into Manhattan. There is also a nice bar with decent menu and a great bartender if you want to stay "home" for the night. I have stayed at the Box Hotel 6-8 times, and the only downside is they do a great wedding business, so you do have do deal with some noise from events. But the crowds are always well behaved. No issues so far. "

"everything was good rooms are nice and modern the only thing is house keeping never came to clean our room? They would knock around 9am and although i asked them to come back later, we would get back in the evening to nothing cleaned. Slight unfortunate but otherwise a great stay. Still definitely planning to return! & i would recommend!"

"We loved this hotel away from the craziness of the city. Very modern hotel. I wish there was a vending machine for snacks and drinks and the restaurant was a little pricey, but we definitely would be back. We will just bring our own snacks next time. Unfortunately, the weather was lousy, and we were there for medical reasons so most of our time was spent at the hospital. We will be back several times in the next 6 months, and we can't wait for the Spring. The views are amazing from the rooftop...
