"We were stopping at the Lock overnight following a funeral. Reception for check in is in the pub/restaurant (obviously a cost saving exercise). Room was clean and comfortable, no tea/coffee on the drinks tray but to be honest we were so tired we weren’t having one. Comfy bed, room warm enough and minimal noise from guests in other rooms. "

"The hotel was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The selection of breakfast and evening meal menus was very good. Being situated in the centre of Stamford The Crown was within walking distance of the shops, pubs and restaurants. A very enjoyable stay! "

"We stayed here for 3 days and had a really nice time. The property is very well maintained and clean. Our room was very nice. The bed was a bit small and the floorboards were a bit creaky. The walls are very thin and consequently “in room noises “ from other rooms were easily heard. The location is very rural and not close to much. The restaurant was decent but the service was poor. Don’t get the mussels!"

"Absolutely loved my stay here, bed was extremely comfortable, felt like home from home. The car park was literally around the corner, great to see the price for £6 over night cheapest in the whole city by far with 24 hour access. "

"An absolutely amazing nights stay, the bed was incredibly comfy and we slept like a log. The staff were very attentive, one slight criticism was they need more staff as when we went to the bar we were waiting for quite a while to be attended to. Their sister bar restaurant down the road we left after 20 minutes, the waiter took my drink order while my wife was choosing, 20 minutes later and nothing. So sadly they lost out on our food and drinks order."
