"This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The hotel is pet friendly, which was why I booked it. I did feel that the surcharge of £30 was a bit high, but then you do get a comprehensive goody bag for your pet. The reception staff were fantastic once again, providing a silky smooth check in. My only gripe is the £10 parking fee. I feel that if you are staying at the hotel this should be wavered. Will definitely stay here again."

"Loved this hotel, however cleanliness in the bathroom was a little bit of an issue. Found a lot of hair on walls floors and sink on arrival. Apart from that, location good, room service great, comfortable bed. Will stay again but will check cleanliness and report back next time if needed. "

"We love this place, but we love it for a reason, the food is amazing, the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great visit/stay and the rooms are a perfect place to crash after a few drinks. The pub also has a lovely warm atmosphere that is so welcoming and relaxing. For us it’s our perfect bolt hole to escape London. "

We stayed in the stable courtyard area of the castle right opposite the restaurant and bar which was lovely for a chilled drink etc Room recently refurbed with walk in shower and tea making facilitys etc and extra bonus castle entrace is included in stay Stayed before and im sure we will again "

"Was a unique experience. No reception. No bar. No Dining Room. No on site parking. Communication was excellent with door code and security keys and mobile number in case of emergencies. The house was very welcoming with a Christmas tree and carols being played and as the house has a "no shoes" policy it would have been more convenient to have a dedicated area for changing footwear rather than the very tiny lobby area.
