"Our first time staying here as an overnight stay to break up a journey from Edinburgh to London, I had booked the gatehouse. The accommodation itself was lovely with interconnecting rooms for our children, however I hadn’t appreciated the gatehouse would be situated right by the main road (which is a pretty busy road) and my children found it hard to sleep with the noise. Main hotel is nice, kids enjoyed the pool (but it is now apparently £10pp which feels a lot on top of your room) and...

"We had wonderful break after not going anywhere at all for 10 months. Hotel lovely and so accommodating. Asked for room near lift and they placed us so well close to lift and restaurant as I have mobility issues at the moment. Would highly recommend as wonderful views of scenery."

"Arrived over an hour before standard check-in and room was ready. Lovely, large room in a cottage by the river with free parking. Staff Lovely & friendly. Got back just before 11pm and was able to get more milk for a late brew. Only grumble, not enough milk left in the first place. Loved our Eggs Royale for breakfast. 11am check out is just right. Would reccomend."

"Accomodation excellent, cleanliness excellent, well appointed and furnished with 'taste'. Food was excellent and wide choice available, bar and waiting staff were efficient,attentive and personable. My only adverse comment would be the relative positions of the accomodation block(s) and the pub/restaurant, umbrellas are provided for the journey, should it be raining, even during good weather, there are steps to negotiate and you leave a warm building experience outdoor temperatures then enter...
